On Loneliness
Being alone in your trading journey is more common than most people realize. I’ve felt it too. Chances are, you don’t know many traders in your local city - and if you do, there’s a high probability that what they call “trading” isn’t trading at all.
Many people think they are traders, but in reality, they’re gambling, chasing hype or stuck in MLM schemes disguised as financial opportunities.
True trading is rare and the statistics confirm it: only about 3% of people consistently make money in the markets. That makes genuine traders like you a very small minority.
At first, this loneliness can feel isolating. But it’s also an incredible opportunity. As humans, we crave uniqueness and distinction.
Trading forces you to operate differently from the crowd - to think differently, manage risk differently and develop a mindset that most people will never understand. Embrace this solitude. Let it sharpen you, mold your thinking and strengthen your discipline.
Loneliness is a tool.
The advantage of this journey is that when you succeed, you will not only have financial skill, but a way of thinking and a level of resilience that sets you apart. You become someone whose perspective, patience and decision-making are fundamentally different from the majority.
Once you’ve mastered yourself and your craft, you can expand your impact. You can help others - through education, mentorship or charitable work - creating value on multiple levels.
But first, the foundation must be yours.
Build your skills, cultivate your edge and embrace the solitude that comes with being part of a small, elite group.
The loneliness is temporary, but the mindset you develop from it will last a lifetime. Those who endure it thrive in ways most people never imagine.
