No Expectancy
Expectation - in life and in trading - is often a trap. Waiting for certain outcomes, even when probabilities are in your favour, is like hoping the universe will do the work for you.
You think that if you just “wait,” success will arrive. But that’s not how results are created.
The absence of expectation is where real surprises happen. When you focus on executing well instead of chasing results, you open the door to outcomes that can exceed your imagination. There’s no better feeling than putting in your effort, letting go of control and seeing the market reward you in ways you didn’t anticipate.
This is easier said than done. Our minds crave predictability and we instinctively try to measure gains or forecast wins. But some outcomes simply cannot be forced or expected. You can’t predict your monthly % gain any more than you can predict a lottery win. Trying to do so only builds pressure and distorts decision-making.
